Marilyn Forbes was a special woman. Not afraid to embrace new thoughts, ideas and friends, she passed away suddenly. We were all in shock when we found out the news and she is missed by family, friends and colleagues. I came across this picture of Marilyn and Wafaa Bilal; the night we had an Art Happening in the Photo and Print area at the School of Art and Design, ECU, NC. Here they are: a modern day American Gothic. An African American Woman and an Iraqi Artist. Grant Woods would be proud!
